..2012 approaches..

 Hard to believe it's almost the end of 2011. My holiday break is coming to an end. The bakery was so incredibly busy these last two weeks. One day we even sold 36 dozen cupcakes before lunch! That's a lotta frosting! :) But the holidays have been great, and it was wonderful getting to spend it all with J and the girls. They had lots of fun this year, actually getting to open their own present, and getting their first visit from Santa.

So what does 2012 hold for the blog? Well, I have lots of new reviews and giveaways coming up, so make sure you're subscribed so you won't miss anything. Also, there will be more projects and recipes, as one of my resolutions is to take more time for myself, and do what I like to do! :)

..how to decorate a tree at a bakery..

With cupcake ornaments of course! And I found this pink tree which just fits perfectly with the shop. Thank goodness for the cupcake craze which made decorating the shop easier :)

..christmas wish list..

So you want to hear my ridiculous Christmas wish list? It's a hard one! If you can make any of these happen, let me know! I'd like:

*More spare time
*J to get the job that he has an interview for on Dec. 13
*Our local library to stay open a bit later
*Better organization skills
*Someone to find me the perfect tile for my kitchen so I don't have to look at a bare backsplash anymore

That's what it felt like when 'tired' hit me today. Not really sure why. I slept a decent amount last night, unless it wasn't good sleep. Not sure.. But today I have been so draggy. I meant to do lots of housework today. Nope.

Tiredness could be a result of chasing two pretty, spunky, wild little girls all over the place. Preventing paper eating, toy stealing, water spilling and sock hiding. And it couldn't be better kind of tired :)

Plaid! I am so digging some plaid right now. Apparently the rest of the world is too, because this pattern is popping up all over the place this season. I actually watched an episode of "Wow Wow Wubbzy" earlier today, and they visited a city where everything was plaid, lol.

Plaid boots for a rainy day? Yes, please!

This is a really neat way to do plaid on a cake without it being too busy..
