I can remember riding in the truck with my dad when I was about 12. And he said to me, "You're going to blink your eyes, and you'll be driving. Then you'll blink again and you'll be graduating high school. A couple more blinks, then comes college and marriage."
At 12 years old, that conversation didn't mean a lot to me. But now, I understand just how much truth there was in his words. It seriously feels like 6 months ago I was still in college, but it's been 4 years. Last month I celebrated my 26th birthday. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but suddenly, I'm in a new bracket. You know when you fill out a questionnaire, and they have those age brackets? I'm no longer in the 18-25 one. I just blew through that!! Life is just funny because you can make plans, and have expectations, and usually everything turns out totally different. I'm not where I thought I would be at 26, but I am very happy where I am. And even though it's been a month, I finally scrapped my pictures of me on my birthday. I may be in a whole new bracket, but I'm excited to see what happens :)
