Well, the time has come.. my poor little desktop finally gave up the ghost. I knew it would happen eventually. I mean, it's almost 10 years old, and has had extensive "surgeries" and upgrades. But it has been an awesome computer, and I will miss it. So I have to get a new one.. and that means I'm having to borrow the hubbo's laptop when he's not using it.. ack. But at least he's nice about sharing and not being stingy. He even sat down next to me on the couch just now and said, "Here you go, you can check your Reader." Lol, good man :)

It's been such nice weather here for the last few days that I've been doing nothing but working around the house. Hubbo and I finally managed to get our huge entertainment center stained and varnished, and we just put everything back on it. Yay! :D Then there was lots of dusting in places that haven't been touched since last year (I can feel okay admitting that since I'm among friends, right?), and lots of organizing. Plus a good bit of gardening thrown in there too.

So since I haven't had much time to be creative, I'll leave you with Heather Ross' segment from Martha Stewart! CLICK HERE to watch the segment.

Where have I been?! My poor little blog has been so neglected! It has been a whirlwind of craziness since my last day of teaching. I really think I'm busier when I'm NOT working. And I was also without internet for a couple of days. That was pretty rough, but I actually got some projects done :) And then I was also out of town with J for a couple of days.. that was fun :) So I've been busy but it's been good times. And a friend of mine is getting married today and asked me to direct her wedding, so that will keep me busy today. And today is also my kitty's birthday! Raleigh is 4 years old today. Happy Birthday Fuzzness! You keep reaching for the stars! *lol*

I finished my latest row for the Row Robin Quilt Swap on Flickr. Here is what I did..

It was my first time doing block piecing, and I really enjoyed it. I like this block pattern a lot, and could see myself making a whole quilt with it... eventually :)

And now I must go get ready, because the wedding starts at 6:00pm, so of course I have to be there at 1:00pm :) I promise to get back to my regular posting self, little blog. I have missed you!

..today was the last one..

Today was the last day I subbed full-time for the Theater teacher at our local high school. She has been on maternity leave for the last 7 weeks and I taught her classes for her. I have to say, I was sad today. Every student told me they would miss me, and almost all of them hugged me goodbye. Even the tough basketball players that you would think are too "cool" to even hug their moms. Some of the kids I got attached to are Seniors, so I likely won't be seeing them again after today. Maybe though. They still have two weeks left in school, and I'm sure there will be some other teachers needing a sub before then. So I can always sneak back to the Theater classroom :)

I have to say though, even though I'm sad, I'm also very glad. It has been very difficult to be creative since I started.. just because I have to get up so early, usually stay late after school, and get home in time to fix dinner, do dishes and laundry, shower and get back in bed. So I am happy to know that I will get some more ME time :) And that starts tomorrow. J has some training in Memphis for the next two days and I'm going with him. While he's in training, I get to shop, shop, shop!! :) So now hopefully I will be back to my regular crafty, blogging self. I sure hope so, because I've missed it :)

And just because it's hard to leave a post without some sort of visual stimulation, I give you another LOLcat..
