..don't be mad..

I know I've been a little absent from everywhere lately.. I haven't been seen hanging around my usual online haunts as much, nor have I done much of anything, which includes being creative. I mean, I'm used to being creative in my sleep! If I don't feel like scrapping/sewing/molding/arranging/crafting something, then you know I'm in a slump! And I have neglected commenting on some of your blogs. I am sorry.. I'm being a bad online friend.

I'm still waiting to be able to upload photos again.. *sigh* And I've been really busy with work. I substitute teach, and apparently a lot of teachers start asking off during this end of the year time. Plus one teacher will be taking her maternity leave for April and May, and has expressed interest in having me take her classes for that time. She's just waiting for the "ok" from the principle. That would be wonderful, maybe we could pay some bills on time :D And I've had some bakery orders on top of teaching, and I have got to restock my Etsy shop. I've got some Spring/Easter ideas in mind. I just need some free time to be able to work on them :)

But anyway, I promise to try and get back to normal soon. I don't like my current status. Makes me feel like I need a really good massage.. on a tropical vacation.. with my toes in the sand.. and some shrimp cocktail. Haha, that went off course :D Again, I leave you with another funny pic. Because this one combines two of my favorite things, LOLcats and crime drama :D

Peace, love and koala fuzz y'all!

..ok, so..

My computer almost died on me. It was on the brink. But my hero hubbo swooped in to the rescue, and saved it. In order to save it though, he had to wipe it out and start all over with new installations. Now, when wiping it out, he didn't touch my main hard drive (whew) so I didn't have to worry about losing anything important. But, with all that, I'm having to slowly reinstall every one of my programs. I just got my printer working again today, but I don't have Photoshop because he has the disk with him... in Detroit... and I'm in Alabama :D

On the upside, my computer is lightning fast! And it doesn't randomly shut down on my anymore. Yay! So since I can't post anything new, I will leave you with hilarious kitteh photoz :D

And I have no pictures or projects to show for it. Instead, I will point you to some really cool giveaways, how 'bout that? :D

*Living Life One Day At A Time is giving away a beautiful necklace made by Cynthia Garrett. It's beautiful, and so worth the effort to win!

*Everything Up Close is giving away an Epilady Hair Remover. Smoother legs? Yes please! :D

Peace, love and koala fuzz y'all!

..bag tag!..

I got tagged by Miss Nymfie!

Here are the rules for the tag:

1. Post a picture of whatever bag you are using today - not last weekend when you and your hubby went out to that fabulous restaurant. No cheating!!!
2. Tell us how much it cost. This is a no-judgment zone -- there will be no ridiculing or eye rolling here. And, if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I'd love to hear it.

Ok, so here is a picture of my bag that I am carrying right now. I pulled this picture from the Vera Bradley website because as slow as my computer has been, it takes over 30 mins to upload a photo, resize it and post it.

And I don't know how much it cost because it was a Christmas gift from my step-mom this past year. She knows I love black and pink, and the fact that part of the proceeds from this purse went to help Breast Cancer Research meant a lot to me.

So there's mine! If you are reading this, and you are currently carrying a bag, then consider yourself BAG TAGGED! :)

..happy mush day!..

Well my Valentine is out of town. So instead of showing you pics of my love, I will show you some pics of things I have made that I love! :D

First of all, remember that picture a couple of posts down with the big pink button? :) Well, silly me forgot to take a picture of the finished product before I mailed it off. So if you want to see what it was, you will have to take a trip over to Jingle's blog to find out :)

Next up is an item I made for the Free People Valentine's Swap. **Side note: Free People is my absolute most favorite clothing line ever** Stephanie, if you want to be surprised when it comes in the mail, then stop reading!! :) My partner Stephanie is in college majoring in business, and would eventually like to go into fashion. So I made her a cute little organizer/portfolio to carry along. It has pockets to stick all kinds of stuff in like notepads, clippings, or whatever. You might want to click the pictures to make them bigger. You know... so you can see the pockets :)

I am so in love with that fabric! And here's a really cute brooch/hair clip I made for another friend of mine. I say brooch/hair clip because I made it so that she could wear it as either one. You know, depending on how spunky she's feeling that day :D

And I had to make a card for the hubbo to give him when he gets home. And this one is interactive, lol. All of the stamps are from the Scrapbook Takeout January kit.

So that's it for me today. I'm fighting the urge to go open a big bag of Peanut M&Ms and eat them all during a night-long girl movie fest. Fighting really hard, lol.

Boo, if you're reading this, Happy Valentine's Day, and I'll see you tomorrow!!! :D

..this makes me cry..

It makes me cry because there are idiots out there who think it's funny to start fires. It makes me cry because so many people and animals have lost their lives and homes because dumb people make dumb choices.

But it also makes me cry because there are so many caring and generous people in the world who rally together to help anytime there is a disaster.

I will be donating some handmade items to be sold, with the profit going to the Victorian Bushfire Relief Fund. I will also be making quilt blocks for the Bushfire Quilt Project.

If you would like to donate some handmade items, or donate profits from online store sales, please visit HANDMADE HELP and MEET ME AT MIKE'S for information.

Even if you don't craft, there are lots of things you can do. Visit HANDMADE HELP and scroll through the options on the right hand side, even if it's just to thank the firemen for everything they're doing. These people risk their lives trying to save others.

Peace, love, and help save some koala fuzz y'all!

..do you like..

My new siggy pic? Isn't it just the cutest little thing? My very good friend, Miss Nymfie, had it custom made for me by Katie at Smile Recipe. Her site is too adorable for words! Thanks so much dear, I love it!! :D

Now if anyone can tell me how to get rid of the gray box around all of my pictures, I would be so appreciative! :)

..yes, there are nice people out there..

In a world where road rage and rudeness are all too prevalent, it's great to know that there are still lots of really nice people out there. And what's even better is when those really nice people are really nice to me :)

I participated in a Scrapbooking Secret Sister Swap that lasted all of 2008. By the time it was over, you would have sent your partner 5 packages. My partner sent me 2, and then quit on me. Never a note of, "I'm sorry, I can't participate anymore.." or anything. Just left me hanging. Christmas was to be the end of the swap, and I just wrote it all off as a bad experience... until today.

I got the most wonderful package in the mail from a lady named Heather. She had agreed to be a Swap Angel, and send me the three packages that I never got from my partner. She sent me three wonderful scrapbook kits filled with everything from Pink Paislee to Tinkering Ink. Heather, I can't begin to thank you for what you did for me :) *BIG HUGS TO YOU!!*

And I got more happy mail too! Stuck in between two bills was this little goodie!

It's a postcard from Iowa! Sent to me by my friend (and Unity Stamp Goddess) Lynn! :D Thanks for thinking of me Lynnie Marie :)

So I worked on a little something today to spread some niceness. It's a secret though, I gotta keep it quiet for now. But I can tell you it involves a big pink button :D

Peace, love and koala fuzz y'all!

..show some sewing love..

Happy February all! (I know I'm a couple of days late, cut me some slack, lol)

Just wanted to show the super cute package I got in the mail. It was from the ultra-talented Dawn @ Sew Ritzy-Titzy.

Isn't that mini quilt just the sweetest? Just look at all of the stitching detail. And that pincushion is just adorable. I mean like, if it had cheeks, I would pinch them :D Thank you so so much Dawn! :) There were also some Hershey kisses in the package, but they seemed to have mysteriously disappeared...

And here is a little peek at what I sent my partner.

It's one of my very comfy scarves, backed with light pink flannel. I hope she likes it :)
