..happy free stuff day!..

Well I told you yesterday that I'm participating in Sew, Mama, Sew's Giveaway Day. So now I'm here to show you what you can win! (Just imagine me saying that in my best gameshow host voice, lol)

You can win a set of two button ponytail holders! They are pink with a black and white paisley pattern.

All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment on this post. It can be anything, just make it worth it :) I'd like more than, "Enter me, thanks." Tell me something fun you've done lately... tell me how your day at work went... what your favorite Christmas cookie is. Tell me anything, just make it interesting! :)

For an extra entry, tell me in a separate comment that you have subscribed, or are already subscribed to my blog.

On Saturday, December 6th I will draw a winner. So make sure you check back that day to see if you've won. Good luck with all of the giveaways today! :)

  1. Too Cute! My favorite christmas cookie is my mom's press cookies in christmas tree shape (the others don't taste as good) Now, if i'm there when she makes them, the leftover squab of dough gets turned into a rabbit which my sister and i fight over. it is the TASTIEST of all.

  8. Those ponytail holders are too cute!

My favorite cookie (and the very first one I learned how to make) is Snikerdoodles. At a elementary schoolbook fair, I got a cookie book with a different cookie for every month of the year. I made the snikerdoodles first and have made them ever since. I made a few of the others but always wet back to my beloved snikerdoodles.

I still have that ratty, tattered old book!

  66. very cute!!

and well, my day today?? i had six 6 year olds, two 5 yr olds, and two 3 year olds over for a play and dinner.... why? because i'm just a slightly demented mom who wanted the two new boys in jake's class to get to know some of the other boys in the class. actually, it wasn't even my idea, my friend had invited all the boys over, but at the last minute, couldn't have it at her house because it just logistically couldn't happen. basically, we had a full house! oh, and one nearly 2 year old to add in the mix!!

luckily there was also a few adults, so all went well- no fights, no boo-boos, just one tired and overexcited boy (jake) who really had a crazy meltdown!!

hope you had a lovely day and enjoy reading everyone's comments...

  71. Nice giveaway. Thanks.
Well, I tried out a new seafood recipe tonight and I wasn't too impressed with it. It was a bit too spicy and it didn't come out as good as I would have wanted it to be.
This was not a recipe keeper.
    Happy holidays.

  72. Oh, those are cute. I used to have really long hair - down past my hips - but I cut it two years ago, and now it's rather short (though at least it still covers my neck). You wouldn't think it, but there are so many more things you can do with short hair than with long. Like wear your hair UP in a ponytail instead of down!

  73. My mom bakes 20 or so different kinds of cookies every christmas. Crazy! But it is the variety that I love (hmmm ... One of these and one of these and OOHHH I haven't had one of THESE yet!). My 2 toddler boys keep me active enough that I bet I get to try them all this year :)

    ReplyDelete

So you want something interesting. Hmmm well how about the cookie? So I absolutely hate fruit cake, but my favorite goodie of the season are these little fruitcake-ish muffins that have cherries, coconut, raisins, and oatmeal (and a few other things) in them. Oh I love them. I need to make like a triple batch just so that I have enough to eat myself. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Hmmm..cookies are on the mind...I'm munching on a be-frostinged gingerbread woman!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Those are really cute! I made some cookies today, gingerbread, but we didn't have any ginger so I mixed cinnamon, alspice nutmeg and a little cocoa powder. They were alright, but the icing I used was kind of yucky. so, overall a baking failure.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I love the ponytail holders! I have a confession - my hair isn't actually long enough right now for a ponytail. I know...but maybe these would convince me to grow it out. It probably wouldn't fit in my daughter's hair yet - she has quite a bit, and I've done little pigtails with these little tiny holders (it was really adorable). Maybe my hubby's goatee...
Just kidding. So I really love them, but I'm not sure what I'd do with them. Probably gift them, maybe to my goddaughter, who has beautiful thick hair.
After all that, you probably don't care to hear what my favorite cookie is, but I'll tell you anyhow - snickerdoodles! Or, if I'm in a different mood, chocolate chip/oat/craisin. Mmm.

  138. i love the adorable ponytail holders! And the strawberry shortcake practically had me drooling. Someone else mentioned that they loved the press cookies. It happens to be my favorite too because that's what I used to make with my grandma. Making the dough and pressing it didn't take very long. But it would take me about an hour to decorate each cookie individually. It was like each cookie was its own masterpiece. Thanks for the giveaway~

  140. Can you believe I have never baked cookies? I would like to try gingerbread ones, since they are so popular and they don't sell them here... Are they hard to make? Anyone know of a good recipe?? I'll subscribe to the comments in case somebody answers, although I guess it's already a bit late :-)

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  144. I'm all about the stained glass cookies this time of year. You can eat them, you can decorate with them, the skies the limit really.

  145. My favorite holiday cookie is russian teacakes but I feel sort of guilty because I leave out the chopped nuts in them. I suppose there's quite a bit of flavor in those nuts but gosh darn it, I can't stand biting into them.

  147. I like the pony holders. cute fabric - think I might have used some of that before. I really like pizzelles for Christmas and we make our own since my mom got me a pizzelle iron for my birthday, umm, about 10 years ago!

  148. Well, let me think. My day was interesting. I didn't get much of my normal work done because the IT guy was setting up my "new-to-me" (not brand new) computer at my desk. But someone needed to put up the office Christmas decorations, so I did that until after 2:00 pm.

My mom (and I) always make chocolate-chip-oatmeal cookies. Not fancy, just good. :-)

    Thanks for doing this!

  149. What cute ponytail holders! And pink is my daughter's favorite color.
My favorite cookie is the chocolate chip cookie my grandma makes. She sends them each Christmas and hubby and I fight, uh I mean debate over who's eaten more, who gets the last one, etc.

  152. Cute! I'll tell you about my Christmas mini-miracle. Tonight my family - myself, husband, 3 yr old and 2 month old - went out to dinner. We made it through the whole meal with no crying and no marinara on the clothes! It was a happy day indeed.
