..smile and be scrappy..

I knew when I woke up this morning that it was going to be a semi-lousy day. You can just tell sometimes, you know? Well, after much laying around, doing nothing, I decided I had to do at least one crafty productive thing today. Surprisingly I was in the mood to scrap. I say surprisingly, because I haven't been scrappy lately. Not sure why, I just haven't been provoked until I was going through some pictures and found this one of my little girl..

It might be hard to tell, but her eyes are so bright green in the photo. I had to scrap it :) The journaling reads, "Witch Cat: That's what calico cats are sometimes called. Maybe that's why I love her so much."

Another thing that might help lift my spirits.. Bama ball starts tonight, wooooo!!! :) Nothing like football season in the South :)

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll! :)

..shameless plug..

I haven't been crafty today. I did, however, buy some crafty stuff :) I got my pattern to make my apron for the Apron Swap I'm a part of. I also finished up a little mini stuffy and got it in the mail to my partner over at SwapBot. I forgot to take his picture, but it was a cute little stuffed pear, complete with a happy face :)

Anyway, about the shameless plug. A couple of weeks ago, my hubby and his friend, Aussie Arron, decided they would make great podcasters :) So they fired up their headsets, and The Right Stick was born. If you know anyone who is interested in remote control airplanes, or if you just want to have a really good laugh, you should go listen. I mean, it's a kid with a Southern accent, and a kid with an Australian accent. What could be funnier? Oh, add a Spanish accent in the mix you say? Well, who knows what could happen :) They're taping tonight with their first special guest, and that episode will air in a couple of days. But the first episode is already up.

Now I'm off to the bookstore. I will no longer be the only person in America that hasn't read the Twilight books.

..pretty-licious..

I got one of my Artsy.licious projects done. Here ya go!

Isn't it pretty? Those great shiny and glittery Artsy.licious papers were so great for this. Eventually I'd like to do one in every color paper that they make. But like I said in my last post, I have the material to make a red one next.

I can just imagine the whole wall of my scrap room covered in these butterfly shadow boxes. Nice :)

Ok, gotta run. Hubby goes to work early in the morning so I gotta get stuff ready.

..sumpin' new & a sneak..

Happy Tuesday everyone. It's been a rainy one here. Usually that means laundry time, but today I shunned the mounds of clothes and dishes that need to be washed so I could cut up some paper :) I made this little mini the other day for a challenge over at the Scrapbook Takeout Blog.

I just grabbed up some patterned paper (KI Memories & My Mind's Eye), ribbon, paint, buttons and a couple of journal box stamps (Scrapbook Takeout exclusives) and went to work. It took me less than an hour to do the whole thing, and that includes paint drying time!! :D

And now for the sneak portion of our show. I'm almost done with one of my projects that I'm doing for Chatterbox. Recently I won a whole big box of goodness from Artsy.licious and I've been working on something today. It will be done tomorrow (after a quick run to Hobby Lobby) and then I will post the whole thing. But until then, you only get a small eyeball full...

Think you know what it is? :D It's one of two I will be making. The other one will be red :) Now I guess I better get off here and go make some dinner. I can live off of ramen and cereal, why can't J? :)

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll!

..sharing my woot-ness!..

Since Shakira posted it in the forum yesterday, I guess it's safe for me to go ahead and post it here. I was waiting for her to say something about it first so that there were no boo-boos on my part :D But...

I'm now a stamp designer for Scrapbook Takeout!! Yay! My first set of stamps will come out next month with the release of the September Kit. (psst, if you click on September Kit, you can see the sneak peeks! Mine are the acrylic add ons) I'm so excited! On top of that, Shakira is going to be adding a new Stamping section to the Scrapbook Takeout forum, and I'll be kinda overseeing that with lots of techniques, challenges and ideas. And hopefully in the near future we will be having a Stamp Design Team Call. Isn't that fantastic?! :) Woot Woot!!

I'm totally thrilled to be working with the gals at SBTO. They're such talented, hilarious women and I hope that I can measure up :D

On another wonderful note, I was given a very sweet blog award by not one, but two people!

Angie and Rachel both sent this to me. Thanks so much gals!! They are both rockin' scrapper women and you should check out their blogs. Now I'm passing this award on to everyone who hasn't received it from someone else already. I always feel like I'm missing someone when I just list people, so you're all getting it :D

I'm making hubby go play with his friends today so maybe I can get some scrapping done! :)

..it's august, right?..

So why in the world did I feel like making something Christmas-y? I couldn't help myself when I walked down the greenery aisle at Hobby Lobby today, looking at all of the great Christmas picks and flowers. And I managed to get hubby out of the house for a couple of hours, so I had to be crafty. The idea for this framed project actually came to me about a week ago, when I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep. This is when most of my ideas have been hitting me lately, not sure why, but it works :) The frame was one of those inexpensive wooden ones. I just covered it with some music note paper. Then I created the rose out of some dark red ribbon (quick running stitch), and used some leaves and berries I already had. The reindeer was cut out of black cardstock. I didn't HAVE to go seasonal with this. You could definitely put any picture in the frame. I'd like to make another one with the reindeer facing the other way, so I have a pair.

More stuff in the works, but I have a golf date in the morning and a dinner date tomorrow night. Maybe tomorrow afternoon I can get some work done :D

..superman!!!..

Is anyone else crying right now? Cuz I am!! I'm so excited for Phelpsie, I just can't help but be emotional. Who knows if I'll ever see that kind of history made again in my lifetime.

Kudos to you Phelpsie, you're the best!

..supa-fast!..

Today is a quickie post :) I about to walk out the door to go see my dad for the day. Just wanted to say that I went yard sale-ing this morning and found the CUTEST vintage western themed fabric napkins. Me thinks I'm gonna frame them and put them in my kitchen, but I'm not 100% yet.

And I also just loaded some new pincushions into the Etsy store this morning. I found such cute fabric yesterday, I couldn't wait to sew with it. Here's one of them..

Soooo cute! Anyway, I'm outta heyah! (You've seen Mickey Blue Eyes, right? Great movie)

Peace, love and koala fuzz, ya'll! :)

..woot-ness!..

Ok, I will admit. I'm a blogoholic (it takes me over an hour to get through all of the new blog posts on my Google Reader every day). I really enjoy reading blogs and seeing crafty stuff and hearing life stories. And I get lots of inspiration from other people's blogs too.

Anyway (rambling, sorry!), I was be-bopping along, reading the posts and found out I won some goodness from Adrienne Kennedy's blog that designs for My Sentiments Exactly. Woot! Oh, and she's giving away MORE stamps, so you should all go here and enter.

Ok, so then, for some reason, I interrupted my blog reading to stop by my blog, and saw that Jingle had left me a comment to say "Go check out Gypsy Rose Paperie's blog.. you wanna see it :)" So, I went be-bopping over there, and I get to see this fantasticness!!

Nikki is such a sweetie, and her strip teases will leave ya'll wanting more!! Yeh, you have to go to her blog to find out about all that :)

So anyway, thanks for letting me talk about my woot-ness for today. Hubby FINALLY went back to work (I say that with all the love in the world) so maybe I can get some scrapping done this weekend.

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll!

..fore!..

Haha, it's official, I'm a golfer!! :D Well, maybe I wouldn't call myself a golfer. But I played my very first game yesterday. It was me, Jeff, his parents, and his friend, Doug. We had the BEST time! It took us almost 4 hours to play 9 holes because me and Jeff's mom are newbies :) She hasn't played since she was about 20, and I've never played a hole in my life. Between the ball diving, the roof hitting and me falling in love with a 3 wood because I can WHACK a ball like nothing else, it was a great day. Here are some pics :)

This last pic was Jeff's dad saying, "Just keep your head down, I'll watch where the ball goes!" Lol. Me and his mom had the hardest time NOT looking up before we even made contact with the ball. It was hilarious.

In other, non-golfing news, Scrapbook Takeout has a great new Challenge Blog! They've got 2 challenges going on right now (1 is a mini book in a tin, and it's only $3 shipped!) plus they're having a giveaway there too. You should totally check it out.

Also, the sale in my Etsy shop is going to run through tonight. I've been so busy with other things since last weekend, that I haven't had time to go in and change the prices back to original price. Tomorrow the prices will go back and hopefully I will have some new things to add.

I have some other fantabulous news, but I can't post it quite yet. No, I'm not preggo, sorry Mom :)

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll!

..kick your heels up..

Croppin' time! :D

I love me some Mary Poppins :) Wanted to let you know that the AMR crop is going on right now! If you're not there, you're missing it :) My challenge goes up in about 35 minutes, so you should come by.

On another note, everything in my Etsy shop is on sale through tomorrow! Everything is marked $1.00 off, which means that nothing is over $5.00!!!

And for anyone wondering if yesterday was crazy or lucky for us, I'm gonna say crazy. Jeff managed to crash TWO of his r/c airplanes while I was videoing. So, it wasn't too crazy, but it definitely wasn't lucky :)

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll!

..crazy 8's..

08.08.08

Does that mean it's gonna be a crazy day? Or maybe a lucky day? I guess we'll see :) I have nothing special planned.. a few things I'd like to get done, but hubby's home so I'm not sure they'll get done :) I couldn't sleep last night so I was up until about 2am sewing more pincushions. What is it about getting new fabric that makes you just HAVE to use it? :)

Those little guys are brand spankin' new in the Shop :) Don't forget that the crop at AMR is tomorrow, starting at 4pm E.

Hope everyone has a great 08.08.08 (I just had to get that in there one more time, ha!) :)

Peace, love, and koala fuzz ya'll!

..write it down..

on your calendars gals, there's a crop this weekend! Over at All Moments Remembered this Saturday, August 9th, starting at 4pm E. It's gonna be lots of fun (as always!) with Challenges and great conversation and lots of chances to win some RAKs. I'm hosting a Challenge at 7pm E, and here's a little sneak of my example..

So you gotta come join us. And, I've got new pincushions up in my Etsy store too.

Isn't that fabric too cute? Gotta go get some more stuffin' and I will have more up tonight and tomorrow. It's about Sloppy Joe time, so I'm out for today.

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll!

..sew-sew..

Well, I've finally got these little guys going up in my Etsy store tonight.

I love making these pincushions. The tomato just reminds me so much of sitting next to my grandmother next to the sewing machine while she made baby quilts and wedding dresses for my Barbies. I have tons of fun and funky fabric to make these with. Tomatoes don't just have to be red you know! :D

Two posts today, I'm on a roll!

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll :)

..vintage moon!..

I am so in love with this new line from Pink Paislee. It's so me :) And I love that it's Fall/Halloweenish without being blatantly Halloween, kwim? Pop Fashion is totally cute too.

If you want to get your little paws on some right now (yes, right now, as in, Stacey is shipping as soon as you order!) then head on over to the All Moments Remembered store and grab ya some! She has the Top Siders too, they're so cool. And if you get a second, swing by Stacey's blog and check out all of the other new stuff she has.

This Saturday, we'll be having a crop in the AMR forums too. Everyone is invited. There's gonna be lots of challenges and RAKs being given away. I'm hosting one of the challenges, and all I'm gonna say is it involves a needle and thread :D

So go buy you some Pink Paislee, then come join my challenge on Saturday. The crop starts at 4pm Eastern time and goes until whenever!

..I really love your peaches..

..wanna shake your tree!! :)

I had every intention of getting up and hitting some yard sales today, but I ended up doing a little work instead. As if making my little Stick Pins wasn't blinding enough (I have GOT to get a magnifying glass!), I have started making dollhouse miniatures! Talk about tiny, I mean I'm making peaches that are 1/4" big! I must be crazy :) Anyway, I got a few things stocked in my Etsy shop if you wanna see some stuff :)

Check out mah peaches!! :D

Now I have cleaning to do.. I'd rather play, it's so much more fun than cleaning house. Why was playing house so much fun when we were kids? Where did that funness get lost, when the dishes got real? :)

Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll!
