Yay, got the camera to behave long enough to get my sneak peek up :)
Hmm, any ideas? Obviously it goes along with my pins :) Hubby is leaving for work in the morning so I should have new stuff in the shop by this weekend :)

..you say tomato..
So, I was going to show you a sneak peek of some things I'm working on for my Etsy shop, but my camera, for who-knows-what reason, isn't connecting to my computer. So, no sneak :(
Maybe I can get it working later tonight.. In the meantime, I can tell you that I'm super excited that Fall is just around the corner. It's my favorite season: Halloween, big chunky sweaters that hide my rolls, pumpkins and warm apple pie. Speaking of pumpkins, check out what I put in the shop last night..
Yip, love me some pumpkins :) Check back tomorrow, maybe my camera will start cooperating and I can have a sneak up by then.
Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll!

..hola!..
I'm back, with MORE Mexico pictures, mwahaha! I wasn't going to post too many, but Lynn said she wanted more. And what Lynn wants, well... :D So here ya go :D By the way, you can click on them to see 'em bigger :)
This guy had his little coconut stand on the street. He just whacked the top off, stuck a straw in and you were on your way :)
There's me, my sister in law Jenn, her husband Steven, and my hubby in the reflection. This was our elevator at the hotel. There was one word for it.. HOT. Not even kidding.
This was at Pipi's Restaurant. They make your guacamole tableside and it was fan-flippin-tastic! That's a big deal, considering the fact that I don't even like guacamole!
Jeff breakin' it down in front of the arches on the Malecon (that's Spanish for waterfront boulevard). Those are his parents.. notice his dad is walking away in shame :D
This guy was doing some amazing sand art. Apparently they only make a new one about every week or so, depending on how much it rains. So we were lucky to see this one in action. Very cool.
Here's another. This one had been there for a while. You can see that they actually sprayed color on it when they first made it.
And that's my buddy Marv. We became friends at the marina.. until he got caught on a fish hook. He wasn't so much my friend after that.
Are you cross-eyed yet? :) I won't put anymore in this post. I will, however, give a big THANKS! to Marilyn and Eileen, who gave me this beautiful, shiny blog award.
Both of these gals have fun blogs, and you should go visit them. And I'm supposed to pass this award on. So, I give it to everyone who reads my blog. Seriously, there can't be that many of you haha :) But really, if you're reading this, take that award, stick it up on your blog and say, "Harley gave me this because she loves me!" It's the truth. I love each and every one of my blog pals. And one day, I will show up at your house to crash on your couch :D
Oh, and later on this afternoon I'm gonna restock my Etsy shop :)
Peace, love and koala fuzz ya'll :D

..i'm home!..
And playing catch-up! :) Mexico was a BLAST and I have so many pictures and SOO much to write and scrap. I'm not gonna post the long, drawn-out version. But I will give you some important points...
* You can NOT get Mountain Dew there, even though they carry Pepsi and Coke. I was one upset koala bear!
* Do your best NOT to get pulled over by police in Mexico. It is a scary experience! :)
* Most of the roads there suck, big time.
* People will drive 2 ways on a 1-way street.. watch out.
* There is no where you can go that you won't get hit up to buy something.
* The Mega store has the absolute BEST doughnuts I've ever eaten!
* The scenery, architecture and art is GORGEOUS!
* On vacation, even people with a fear of heights will zip-line 50ft. up and over 350ft. of jungle.
* I live in Bama, so I'm used to 98 degree weather, but Mexico is more humid than I have EVER seen.
That was as short as I could get it :) And now, some photos for your viewing pleasure!
..The view from our room..
..Our view at dinner from the top of a hotel in town..
..That's my dinner in there, flambe!..
..Our waiters making sexy coffee, and I swear that's really what it's called..
..Here we are!..
..The marina where we left from to go deep sea fishing..
..Me & J climbing some art!..
Ok that's all for now. I know it's overwhelming but there are just too many good pics :)

..hasta la vista, baby!..
Today's the day, I'm leaving for Mexico!! As I previously stated, I will have no laptop while I'm gone. I will however, have my incredible iPhone, on which I have the internet and my Google Reader :) With everything we have planned, I'm just not sure how much time I will get to spend on it.
I hope you all have a great next few days. And I will take plenty of pictures, don't ya'll worry :)

..is 9gig enough?..
So, we're leaving in the morning for Mexico..
I was informed last night that we will NOT be carrying the laptop with us. I immediately went into panic mode.
Me: "We're not going to be able to copy our pictures to the laptop, what am I going to do?"
J: "Um, well, we have like 4 memory cards, I think you'll be ok."
Me: "4 memory cards? That's not going to be enough, we'll be there a week!"
J: "I just counted.. we'll have 9 gig worth of memory."
Me: "9 gigs? Is that gonna be enough? I don't know if that's gonna be enough!"
J: "Calm down Shutterbug, 9 gig will be fine. That's like, 1575 pictures you can take."
Me: "Only 1500?!? We gotta get another card.. that's just not gonna do it!"
Ok, so maybe 1500 pictures will be plenty. But, it might not be. I mean, we have something planned every single day, and some days have two or three events thrown in there. I'm a photography major and a scrapbooker.. how can one put a limit on camera memory? :)

..i was kidnapped..
By my husband :) I had no choice but to follow him around for 3 days. First a remote control airplane fly-in, then to Memphis for 2 days for a Simulator check ride. Then I had two birthday parties in two days!! But it was for all three of my nephews (their birthdays are July 10, 11 & 12, how crazy is that?) This year, they turned 14, 7 and 5. It was a great weekend filled with skating (the 5 year old is fast!!), BBQ and watermelon.
Today I'm trying to get ALL of our laundry done, because we're leaving on Thursday for MEXICO!! I can't wait, I want to leave now :) I'm trying to convince hubby to take his laptop. Usually that thing is attached to his hip, but now he's saying he doesn't want to take it with us this time. What am I supposed to do with no AMR and no Blog Reader for a week?!

..i love wilna!..
Isn't my new header ADORABLE?! It was custom made for me by Wilna. She is a fabulous artist, and ran a little contest on her blog not too long ago. The winner got a custom header, and I won :) I'm just in love with it. She incorporated things that are important to me, like my kitties, and the airplane (cuz in case ya didn't know, I married a pilot!) :)
Wilna, thank you so much. You are a very special person and I hope we stay friends for a long, long time :)

..inchie love..
I totally made tons of Inchies about 4 years ago. Since then I've moved and I can't honestly say I know where they are. Thank goodness they're back in style! :D
I made these little guys in about 5 mins using some Studio G stamps and my watercolor pencils. Just needed some quick ones to make into a birthday card.
If you love Inchies too, you should definitely come join my Inchie Swap over at All Moments Remembered. Sign-ups will be open for another week or so. Seriously, come play with us :)

..someone pinch me..
Because I'm so excited, I must be dreaming :) Ever heard of Artsy.licious? If you haven't, run to Melody's blog right now and look at it.. Isn't it gorgeous? Well, back in May they ran a contest where you had to submit an idea or two of what you would use Artsy.licious for. They chose 25 ideas out of over 200 entries.. guess who was one of them? :D *can't contain it anymore*
Me! :D I'm tickled to death.. I get to let them know what product I will need for my projects and they're gonna send it right out to me. I still can't believe it :) Oh, and my project ideas that I submitted were some hanging prints and mats, and some jewelry.
Woot! :)

..independence..
Well it just hit me that's it's a whole new month.. well, I know we're 4 days into it, but I haven't blogged since the last of June. Where does the time go?
Last night I had the honor of introducing a scrap virgin to this addictive hobby of mine. It was a great 4 hours, and the best part is, I have someone close to scrap with :) It was so fun to watch her scrap, knowing that she is in that stage where she is only scrapping for herself. She's not trying to impress anyone with her work, she just wants to get her story down on paper. I think that's amazing.
So while I taught her a lot last night, she did just the same for me. Why do we get so caught up in doing our art for others? I've been scrapping for 13 years, and maybe it's time to go back to basics. Create for me, and no one else :)
For all of my fellow US residents, I hope you have a safe and Happy 4th. Not sure what our plans are because J won't even be home until about 7:30 tonight. But I'm sure we'll at least go watch some fireworks somewhere.
